Einstein: The Life and Times by Ronald W. ClarkMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I have read other biographies of Einstein. This one rich in detail seems to lose in the post-A Bomb Einstein. So, it feels like a story of the man who even as a teenager 17 so loathed the Germany of his birth to not want its citizenship while never being an observant Jew. In successful adulthood he so feared a triumphant Germany to set aside for the time being his pacifist ideals for the Allies in WW II (while being assailed as a Communist Pacifist) and along being an ardent Zionist with great hopes for Israel as a successful home for Jews.
