It is interesting to be a fly on the wall during the the revealing and vulnerable moments of people in severe need of psychiatry: bulimia, sexuality, insomnia, etc. The focus is on Freud's theories and Freudian approaches and a lot about Oedipus, anal stage, and dream interpretation makes up the first half. Working also as an overview of the development of the craft (each case includes a short bio of the analyst and their contributions to the field) the second half has anti-Freudian and post-Freudian workers as well as other approaches such as group therapy, etc. Jung, Adler, and other key names are included.
