Review: Sinatra

Sinatra Sinatra by Earl Wilson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a intimate but not overly detailed look at the Sinatra career through the late '70s. The journalist author was on the outs with Sinatra when he wrote this, and the circumstances of that break -- much ado about nothing it seems -- feels revelatory. Sinatra seems to have ghosted people completely, even if on little basis, if he assumed them to be "parasites". It feels like more is about his non-music career: love life, up and down acting career, transition from unappreciated Democratic Party shill (Sinatra's supposed Mafia ties) to GOP booster.
